AI Creator Mode - Explorers (K to 2)
Eight short adventures making pictures and stories with a computer helper, for children still learning to write. Mostly drawing and looking, with a grown up at the keyboard.
Who it is for
Kindergarten to grade 2, roughly ages five to eight. No experience needed on either side. You do the typing throughout, which is both the safe way and the way they learn most.
Includes a parent setup guide
Every well known AI tool sets a minimum age of at least 13, so a child this age cannot have an account anywhere. The guide at the front explains that plainly, names two tools that run in a browser with no account and no age check, and sets out how to run the whole book with you typing.
The eight adventures
- What Is It? A computer that guesses what comes next, explained through a guessing game
- Asking Nicely Why more words get a better answer
- Make A Picture Describing something out loud and watching it appear
- Make A Character Inventing somebody who does not exist yet
- Sometimes It Is Wrong The most important adventure in the book
- Tell It More Fixing an answer instead of starting over
- Make Something A small project of their own
- Show What You Made Explaining it to the family, including what went wrong
How it works
No schedule and no start date. Each adventure takes about twenty minutes. Instructions are written for you to read aloud.
Every drawing page has a box where you write down what your child said about their picture.
