Start Your First Business - Explorers (K to 2)
$9.00 CAD
Eight short adventures that turn something annoying into a business idea, for children who are still learning to write. Almost nothing here asks them to write. They draw, circle, point and tell you about it.
Who it is for
Kindergarten to grade 2, roughly ages five to eight. A grown up reads each page out loud and does any writing there is. No prior knowledge needed on either side.
The eight adventures
- What Is A Business? Spotting the businesses hiding in everyday places
- Things That Bug Me Drawing three annoying things, because that is where ideas start
- Pick One Choosing the annoying thing they most want to fix
- Who Needs Help? Drawing the one person the business is for
- Draw Your Idea The invention itself, sensible or not
- What Do You Need? Working out what it would take to make one
- Give It A Name Naming it and designing the sign
- Show And Tell Presenting the whole thing to the family
How it works
No schedule and no start date. Each adventure takes about twenty minutes. Do one on a rainy Sunday, three over a holiday, or one a month. Nothing expires.
Every drawing page has a box where you write down what your child said about their picture, because at this age the talking matters more than the drawing.
